Pre-Departure
Hi everyone! I am very excited to go on this trip! My name is Sarah-Rose Ballard and I am a first-year student from Ankeny, Iowa. I am studying Law, Politics and Society with a double major in Sociology and a concentration in Women and Gender Studies. On this trip, I will be doing a service project with Ellie; we will be working with Days for Girls, which is an organization that provides reusable menstrual products to Ugandan girls and women, and we will also be teaching classes on women's health and general hygiene. I am looking forward to meeting new people and getting close to many people on this trip, along with facing new experiences and broadening my horizons. See everyone soon!
